Last Week of Social Media Month

Hi everyone! Onto the last part of #SocialMediaMonth! ♥

Since I’m pretty late with posting this, this last week will be a bit of a banger.

For the rest of the week, I’ll be doing comments, likes, and shares on all social media platforms. I’ll also be doing follow for follow on WordPress and BlogLovin’.

Hi everyone! I’ve seen a lot of twitter pods happening lately, so I created one specifically for US Bloggers. It’s so damn hard to find each other!

Then I thought, “Why stop there?” So I also created a brand new (active) Facebook group! It’s called U. S. Blogosphere and I’d love for you to join!

#SocialMediaMonth Intro

Hi everyone! I’ve been doing a lot of thinking lately about my blog; whether I should stop writing for a while to catch up on life or put work into it so I can flourish. This is always something I’ve done, even when it was a fleeting thought at points. I figured, why give up now? I just renovated a house, moved again, am currently looking for my first job in a year and a half, and still trying to start a family. There’s plenty to write about, so I’m going to push myself to do so.

That being said, I decided that the best way to push myself into keeping up better with my commitments is to basically drown myself with responsibility. It’s just the way I function. Weird, I know.

I decided to start a fun little challenge called #SocialMediaMonth where every week and weekend in July focuses on a different aspect of social media. Surprisingly, this really isn’t about me at all. It’s just about getting way more involved in the blogging community. If you participate, you’ll probably reap more benefits than I will in the long run, haha. Hopefully when July has passed, I’ll have a little bigger of a friend group and support system to help keep me on track and keep me motivated.

Anyone is more than welcome to participate in this. I started it for me, but I’m sure there are a lot of other bloggers that are out there that feel just like I do; like they need a giant kick in the pants to get back up on their game. If you or anyone you know decide to join in, I wish you nothing but the best of luck.

I’ll be posting a fully detailed schedule of the plans for every week and weekend of July on 6/28 (in two days) right here, so make sure you come check it out! I’d also appreciate it if you would share this post wherever you feel comfortable so everyone gets the chance to be involved if they’d like to be. #FollowFriday: My Favorite YouTubers

I know a lot of you probably don’t even really care about YouTubers that I like because everyone has their own tastes, but here’s a small list of people I really think deserve a shout out – especially to an audience that may have never heard of them otherwise.

The Life of The Cassells – This is a military vlog channel run by Kiara (mostly) and her husband Desmond. I absolutely adore their family and their marriage is totally #goals. If my husband and I had a YouTube channel, it would probably look a lot like this. They’re all super witty and sarcastic and I really love it. They set a real life example of a strong family unit and I just really enjoy watching their vlogs.
PrettyPistol86 – Her name is Cherish and she’s seriously one of the best project panners on YouTube. I’ve never seen someone go through so many products so quickly, and I really love watching her videos. She’s one of the reasons I’m embarking on my “finish as much as I can project whatever” this year.
She’s In Her Apron – Her name is Kimmy and she vlogs about her life and her family. They’re all really wonderful and it gives me something to aspire to. She’s also very open about her struggles with anxiety, among other things. I find her channel and her videos super encouraging and motivational. If you ever needed a pick-me-up, I sincerely recommend checking out her channel.
John Kuckian – I wouldn’t be a true YouTube junkie without putting a drama channel in this list. He’s one of my favorites, but quickly moving up on the list. I find him hilarious and I just like the way he presents his case – all about the facts and the receipts and just a sprinkle of drama in there.
Rob Dyke – If you like more dark and macabre YouTube Channels, this is the one for you. I actually ran across this channel not too long ago, but I’m absolutely in love with the content. Rob also does frequent live streams which I find fun. His sense of humor matches mine and my husband’s pretty well, so his channel is super enjoyable. Another note, I was watching a stream this morning where he openly said that he knows people in his audience are suffering and they’re fucked up, but that’s why he has the best subscriber base on YouTube – because everyone is real. I don’t know, that statement just gave me a whole other level of appreciation for that channel. You should check it out if you’re interested in dark topics and aren’t super squeamish.
