Alright, I have to admit that this ended up being a lot more complicated than I anticipated haha. Whoops! Alas, I think I’ve finally figured out a system to keep track of everything that works for me. Unfortunately for you, that means I’ll have to do an “Update 1.5” before the end of the month.
I realized that not only do I have a massive amount of crap laying around, but so does my husband. With our master under construction (again), it’s been taking me a bit to get everything inventoried, so that won’t be included in this update. Also… I found more stuff of mine, so the total you’ll see will be adjusted for those things. Or at least the ones that I’ve run across thus far. There could be more. I wouldn’t be surprised.
Grand Total of everything I’ve found of mine so far: $4,054.90
Grand Total of everything I’ve purchased this month: $78.06
Grand Total of everything I’ve used this month: $73.10
This brings everything to: $4,059.86
Now, that first number could change. Honestly, it will change since I’ll be adding more things I’m finding around the house, as well as whatever my husband’s total comes out to be. I realized that on top of what I have, since he also has a lot, that I’m going to have to help him use some things up. Plus, it’s a good way to keep us both accountable to get some of our back-stock dramatically reduced (hopefully).
With all that being said and before I get to the reviews, I’m not going to be so hard on myself about bringing in more than I used up in the last month. After next update is when I’ll start really cracking down, since that’ll give me ample time to make sure that everything is accounted for. But I’m not going to lie, I’m a little disappointed to see that I didn’t at least break even. Wish me luck for a better turnout next month!
OGX Repairing Awapuhi Ginger Shampoo (13 & 19.6 fl oz.): This is by far the best shampoo I’ve ever found for my hair. You’ll be seeing a lot of this. Probably forever. For those of you wanting to know why I love it so much, I color treated my hair constantly for about six years and this is the only shampoo that makes my hair feel like hair again, as opposed to hay or a dirty mop.
Victoria’s Secret Love Spell Perfume (8.4 fl oz.): This is my favorite winter perfume, and it has been since I was in my early teens. I’m actually really pleased that I was finally able to use this perfume up. It gave me a whole new perspective on how long these last! (Answer: Forever).
Bath & Body Works Sweet Cranberry Rose Shower Gel: I tend to like all B&BW products, so it shouldn’t come as a surprise that I liked this. Unfortunately, it was a seasonal scent (in the fall, I believe), so I’m going to have to say that I won’t actively seek this out unless they bring it back. It really smelled more like rose than anything else, but it was really nice and surprisingly relaxing.
Neutrogena Skin Polishing Acne Cleanser (5.1 fl oz.): This comes as part of a set for about $20, depending on where you can find it. Ever since I was a pre-teen, this has been the only cleanser that’s ever really helped clear up my acne. I do love this system, but I’ve noticed it hasn’t been working as well as I remember. That being said, I’m going to be trying out some other skincare, so you might not see much of this one for a while.
BioClarity Cleanser: This also comes as part of a set for $30. The company was generous enough to send me this set for a review, but I haven’t finished the other two products yet. It is coming though! Without giving too much away, I would consider repurchasing this cleanser, but it did have one major downfall.
Bath & Body Works Hand Sanitizers (Island Nectar & Creamy Pumpkin): These are pretty meh. I mean, at this point, these are the only hand sanitizers that I’ll use because the scents don’t gross me out, so they’re all basically the same.
Vagisil pH Balance Wash (1.6 fl oz.): I got this product from PinchMe, I believe, for a review. I legitimately hate this. This may be TMI, but I tried using it on my bits once and it burned like hell. After that, I just used it on my back to try to get it used up and it did nothing for me. What do I mean by that? Logic would dictate that a pH balancing wash would help with blemishes. Did it? Not even a little. I seriously loathe this and I’m so glad that I’m through with it.
Thank you so much for reading! I know that this was probably way longer and more confusing than you signed up for, but I really do appreciate you sticking around. If you have any tips or tricks to help me get through more a little quicker, please leave them in the comments section below!
Keep an eye out for Update 1.5 to see what my official numbers on everything are, as well as some goals I’ll be setting for myself for the next update. If you missed the first post I made on my 2017 Project Pan, you can check it out here ♥
Until next time,
