Review: Epic Soap Co. Hunky Hazelatte Chapstick

Revamp from August 2016

Lately, I’ve been collaborating a lot with Etsy shops in the United States to try to further their businesses. I like knowing that I can take part in helping someone grow their small business, and the owners of the Epic Soap Co. on Etsy were kind enough to send me an awesome PR package to help give their shop a little more exposure. It’s really the least I could do, and I honestly enjoy writing product reviews. So lets get into it:

Epic Soap Co.’s Hunky Hazelatte Chapstick contains shea oil, coconut oil, stevia, flavoring, jojoba oil, beeswax, and castor oil. Let me just say that this ingredient list is awesome. The sugar substitute threw me off at first, but it’s not harmful at all. And on top of that, beeswax is awesome to use in chapsticks to hold in all of the moisture of the product once its applied to your lips, and castor oil has wonderful benefits for your skin and hair.

This is your standard natural chapstick, and it smells like coffee, but I’ll get into that further down. For those of you who haven’t used a truly natural chapstick (meaning anything other than Burt’s Bees.. I’m talking homemade lip balms), the reason you should really look into them is because they don’t have any added ingredients that’ll secretly dry your lips out over time to get you to consume more.

Let’s get into the application: You may think,“I’m pretty sure I know how to apply lip balms,” but really, there’s a trick to this. Because this is a natural chapstick, it pretty much melts on contact with your lips. Don’t be super liberal with the product because you really don’t need to. Savor this product, it’s totally worth it. You can run this around your lips once and have hours of moisture, and you also don’t have to be afraid of reapplying any time you feel like you want to.

I’ve actually been having a ball with Epic Soap Co.’s Hunky Hazelatte chapstick because of the smell. It reminds me of standing in my grandmother’s kitchen on Christmas and having a hazelnut coffee. It’s very pungent when you first apply it, but the smell does soften. If you’re an avid coffee drinker, you won’t notice that it’s there at all – and it stays put on your lips! That’s fantastic in itself. Plus, I’m pretty much a Christmas Season addict any time of year, so winter scents are always very welcome in my home.

Overall, if you’re looking for an all-around great natural chapstick that comes from great business owners, I’d really invest. If you’re not a fan of a coffee scent, they also make 3 other flavors: Vanilla Bliss, Lemony Goodnessakes, and Chocolate Treasure. They’re sold on Epic Soap Co.’s Etsy Shop and Website for $3 a tube. Best part? All of their products are home-made in Hicksville, OH and they ship internationally! So all of my UK readers, this one is for you too!

As always, let me know if you’re going to head over and check out Epic Soap Co. I’d love to know if you like their products as much as I do (because I think they’re fantastic). If you’ve already bought from this business or plan to, please leave me your feedback! Is there something I should definitely try?

I received a PR Package in exchange for a blog post containing my 100% honest opinions of this particular seller’s product(s).
